It is mainly composed of magnetostrictive wire (waveguide wire), measuring rod, electronic chamber, and non-contact float (with permanent magnet inside) on the rod
The structure is shown in Figure P1. When the sensor is working, the electronic chamber sends a “starting pulse”, which is transmitted along the waveguide wire and generates a rotating magnetic field. When the magnetic field meets the permanent magnetic field of the float, a magnetostrictive effect is generated, causing the waveguide wire to twist. The electronic chamber senses the twist and converts it into an “end pulse”. By calculating the time difference between the two pulses, the displacement is measured, thereby obtaining an accurate liquid level value.
